How does your microbe compare?

There are so many different microbial products on the market today - enough to confuse even the most intelligent and informed person. Everyone claims to have the best product but, how do they match up? How can you tell the good from the bad when picking a microbial based product?
We have tried to make this decision as straight-forward as possible for you.

To make it easier for you as a consumer to rate and judge the various products out in the market we have developed a list of questions for you to consider as you evaluate available microbial products.

  • Are they the actual manufacturer or just a reseller? - How do you know?
  • Cost -  Cost effective? Can they produce in large quantities?
  • Effectiveness - Does it work? How do you know? Have you seen a list of successfully completed projects?
  • Density and Strength - How many microbes per gram/ml are in the product? Are you comparing apples to apples?
  • Is it a liquid or dry product? - Do you really want to pay to ship water?
  • What is the shelf-life? - As a rule dry microbes have a far longer shelf-life than liquid microbes.
  • Do you have to measure and mix several messy products together? - Why ? Shouldn't your microbes arrive ready to immediately go to work for you?
  • Does it require costly special equipment? - Once again ask yourself why is any special equipment required?
  • Do you have to wait 24 - 48 hours for the microbes to grow? -  What exactly are you growing? Why wait? Doesn't waiting cost you time and money?
  • Government  Approvals - Do they have the necessary approvals on a federal and state level?
Oppenheimer Biotechnology believes that it manufactures the best microbial products in the world.
  • We manufacture dry products in highly concentrated formulas, allowing you to add water at your convenience.
  • Concentrations vary in density and strength from, our strongest product, The Oppenheimer Formula I at 100 billion microbes per gram (1011),  to our lowest  BioZorb at 100 million microbes per gram (108) .
  • They are very effective - look at some of our completed projects.
  • Our microbes are available immediately upon activation - no pre-activation and waiting with our products.
  • No special equipment is necessary for our microbe application.
  • Our products have a long shelf life 5 years plus, we hope that you use them before then though.
  • Our products are cost effective and save you money, BioZorb starts at $15.95 for a 4.5lb container.
  • Government approvals - We are listed on the U.S. EPA . NCPP list (This listing does NOT mean that EPA approves, recommends, licenses, certifies, or authorizes the use of this product on an oil discharge. This listing means only that data have been submitted to EPA as required by subpart J of the National Contingency Plan, Sec. 300.915) and we approved for use in most of the states.

We dare you to compare your current microbial product to ours.  The graph on the right illustrates the large difference between 1 million (106) gm/ml and 100 billion (1011) per gram. The Oppenheimer Formula contains 100 billion microbes per gram (1011). If you are unsure about the density of your current microbial product we suggest that you contact the manufacturer and ask them for the information.

How do I compare the strength and density of microbial products?

To help you to compare apples to apples (microbes to microbes) we have provided two examples to demonstrate the strength, density and high concentration of our products when compared to other microbial products.

Product Name Density and Strength Comments

The Oppenheimer Formula

100 billion microbes per gm/ml (1011)

You would need to dilute this 1,000 times to get the microbial count down to 108

Product x 100 million microbes per gm/ml (108)
Product Name Density and Strength Comments
The Oppenheimer Formula 100 billion microbes per gm/ml (1011)

You would need to dilute this 100 times to get the microbial count down to 109

Product x 10 billion microbes per gm/ml (109)
